Warm sunshine set to start the week

The weather is set to be more like summer for the next few days.

While July has been very wet to date, Sunday gave a glimpse of summer with temperatures in the late teens around the county.

The weather is set to be warmer on Monday and warmer again on Tuesday.

Met Éireann says temperatures on Monday will reach 20 degrees and the day is to remain dry.

On Tuesday temperatures are set to soar towards the mid 20s, although there could be rain later in the day.

While people around the county enjoyed the warm weather, the thousands of Donegal fans who made their way to Clones for the Ulster football final bathed in warm sunshine.

The sunshine also was there to see off the boats in the Clipper round the world yacht race which was seen off from Inishowen by hundreds of people after spending over a week in Derry.
