The popular Saimer Childcare Centre at the Rock in Ballyshannon will be hosting an open evening and a pop-up shop tonight, Monday after their AGM.
The aim is to familiarise the many potential users and the community in Ballyshannon with the superb range of facilities available to families with young children
The manager of the centre Breda Tinney Cassidy told the Democrat, “Our mission is to provide an affordable, secure, quality childcare facility, that develops the social, emotional, creative and intellectual needs of children, enabling them to reach their full potential, and also supports parents, guardians to invest in their own needs/training/education and contribute to the social and economic life in the Ballyshannon area.”
She continued, “Many people do not realise the scale of this project. We have a staff of 26 and over 100 children per day walking through our doors. I often think that if there was an announcement of a new factory employing 26 workers there would be a great fuss but there are projects like ourselves working quietly away contributing to the social fabric of the town.”
Saimer caters for all ages groups from babies to wobblers, toddlers to preschool and even after-schools from 5 to 12 years of age.
The centre is a haven for children - brightly lit with loads of activities for the children to enjoy. Perhaps a great endorsement for the centre was that during our visit there was not the sound of one baby crying.
On Monday night make a point of dropping up to the centre - you will be suitably impressed.
