It's the biggest Donegal night in Dublin (unless we are in an all Ireland final) and tonight Donegal will celebrate as a new Donegal Person of the Year is honoured.
Deirdre McGlone of Harvey's Point Hotel, will take over from another wonderful Donegal woman, Moya Doherty, as the Donegal Association in Dublin's Donegal Person of the Year, and everything is looking good at the northside hotel.
As our photograph shows the banquet hall at the Regency Hotel is 'suited and booted' in some style awaiting more than 600 guests.
As 5pm approaches guests are making their way to the hotel and the lobby area and bars are filling up nicely with familiar accents from Bundoran to Buncrana replacing the Dublin brogue.
It has all the makings of a great night, more later.
