Ballyshannon 999 call centre staff vote for industrial action

Staff at the emergency call centre in Ballyshannon (pictured) have, with their colleagues in Dublin and Navan, voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action.

Ian McArdle of the Communication Workers Union confirmed that 84% of votes cast were in favour of industrial action, up to and including all-out strike.

The union has now issued a notice of industrial action BT/Conduit, the company that runs the centres.
