Irish blues legend Johnny Gallagher flew out to LA last week to play at the world's biggest and best guitar showcase this weekend.
The Bundoran man told the Democrat he was invited to perform there by French luthiers Wild Custom Guitars. He'll be playing onstage with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, who is also associated with the company.
“I hooked up with Wild Custom in August last year, when they asked me to play one of their guitars,” Johnny said. He played a Concept Guitar for them at a show in Paris earlier this month.
Johnny will also be showcasing Fender, another of his sponsors at the NAMM Show in LA.
“It's the largest music expo in the world, an annual event with all the latest in instruments, amplifiers and gadgets in the industry.”
