Killybegs withstood a strong Red Hughs fight back to hold on for a narrow win in this first round clash in Fintra, on Tuesday night.

Killybegs led 2-5 to 0-5 at half-time with Evan Broderick and Luke Kelly netting the goals. But it was a different story after the break as Red Hughs stormed back into the game with two goals from the impressive Conor Gallagher.
Killybegs played most of the second half with 14 men after Hugh McFadden was shown a black card having picked up a yellow card in the first half.
Owen ‘Ban’ Gallagher, Mark Diver, Hugh McFadden - while he was on - Ryan Ward, Evan Broderick and Brandon McGinley were the standout players on the night for Killybegs.
Stephen McMenamin, Conor Gallagher, Dylan Irwin, Luke Kelly, John Carlin and Colm Melaugh were most prominent for Red Hughs.
