It may have clashed with Donegal’s big game in Croke Park, but it did not hinder the celebrations of Naomh Ultan on Saturday last.
There were many special events on the day. Large crowds celebrated at Naomh Ultan Park to celebrate 40 year anniversary of formation of the club.
Micheal Gillespie, Chairman of Donegal GAA in 1984, when the club won the title of intermediate county champions, was in attendance and presented commemorative plaques to members of the old team of 1975.
The local clergy blessed the pitch and all spoke of the importance of the club in the life of the community.
