Playing with the breeze in the first half Naomh Muire clocked up a healthy lead, and by the 25th minute they were to 2-5 to 0-0 in front. Paddy McCafferty scored the first goal and Shaun Yank Boyle hit the second. During this period Shaun ‘Yank’ Boyle also had a penalty saved by Mark McConigley.

Harry Harden, Paul ‘Yank’ Boyle, Darragh White and Shaun Yank (2) scored the points. Seamie ‘Nanny’ Friel scored Fanad’s first point but it was cancelled out by Shaun Yank. Nanny got his side’s second but Darragh White finished the first half scoring with another point to leave it 2-7 to 0-2, in favour of the home team. Fanad came out in the second half and points from Mark Friel, Michael Sweeney and Seamus Nanny saw them reduce the margin to eight points.

Harry Harden and Joe Blaney traded points before Seamus Nanny and Seamus Coshia Friel reduced the margin to six.

Shaun Yank and Owen Grant and Seamus Nanny, Seamus Coshia and Harden Sean Yank traded points as Naomh Muire ran out nine point winners.

Killybegs got a much needed victory over an understrength Downings team in Fintra. Goals in the first half by Paul Cunningham and Hugh McFadden ended this as a competitive game as the home side led 2-9 to 1-4 at the break, despite the visitors getting a goal from Lorcan Connor on the stroke of half-time..

On a dark, dreary afternoon at Pairc Taobhoige, Glenfin paid the price for missed chances and a red card as Stephen Griffin snatched a point for St. Naul’s with an injury time free.

A goal from Ciaran Moy saw Glenfin lead 1-6 to 1-4 at the break, Barry Rose getting the St. Naul’s goal.

The second half was noticeably edgier, with numerous fouls committed by both sides and chances few and far between. Glenfin lost Ciaran Moy to a second yellow card but it seemed as if they had done enough before Griffin got the equaliser in added time.

Cloughaneely secured a valuable two league points win this win over MacCumhaill’s on Monday.

They led by 1-8 to 0-6 at half-time with the goal by Denis Boyle just before the break. Boyle was the hero for the home side with a total of 1-8 to his name.

They were able to maintain that lead in the second half. Before the end both Ciaran Scanlon and Andrew McCloskey were shown red cards.
