Termon started brightly and they were three points to the good with scores from Daire McDaid, Steven McElwaine and Paddy McDaid, all from play after 15minutes.

Stephen Coyle put St Michael’s on the board after 17 minutes from a well worked run of play.

Paddy McDaid pointed again on 22 minutes and then St Michael’s began to claw back the deficit with Michael Cannon and sub Stephen Doak making it 0-3 to 0-4 at half time.

Points from Austin Marron, Daire McDaid and Paddy McDaid kept Termon ahead despite two replies from Oisin Langan and Cannon leaving it 0-5 to 0-7 in favour of Termon after 47 minutes.

Then the St Michael’s break through came when Brian McLaughlin superbly plucked a long ball out of the sky and turned a low shot past Tinney to give them a goal and the lead for the first time.

A Martin Breslin point pulled them ahead further before a Michael Cannon free-turned-shot, ended up in the net in the 53rd minute leaving it 2-7 to 0-7.

They added scores including a brace from Lee Carr and one from Michael Langan before McMenamin pointed a free in the last kick of the game to leave the final score 2-10 to 0-8.
