The lotto numbers for 29/10/13 for jackpot of €1700were 5, 6, 4, 3, 2, 7, 8, 1. There was no winner, next week’s jackpot stands at €1750. The seniors drew with Termon in the Division 2 promotion playoff. It is unclear if and when the replay will be due to Dungloe’s appeal of the league standings due to be heard on Monday evening.
The Bord na nÓg AGM is fixed for Tuesday 12th of November at 8pm. We would urge all parents of underage players to attend. The U-16s face Dungloe in the county semi-final next weekend.

The dinner dance isset for 29th November with €22.50 for adults and €11.00 for children (U16). County Players will be in attendance with Eamon Mc Gee from Gaobh Dobhair and Donegal confirmed. Night will include ladies and gents player of the year awards, plus other awards on the night. The minor ladies were crowned county champions after their win over Four Masters. This is only the third time a ladies team from the club has qualified for an Ulster club competition and the first time for our minors.
There was no jackpot winner this week drawn on the 28th October and the €50 runner-up prize goes to Sammy and Heather Norris. Next week’s jackpot will be €900. Thank you for your continued support.
The club AGM will take place in the clubhouse on Friday 6th December starting at 8pm.
The Club are hosting a fun quiz in the clubhouse on Saturday the 9th of November. The quiz is aimed to test your knowledge of past and current parish events, there will be a raffle and spot prizes on the night. It is €5 per person with a team of four from each townland, so if you think Ballysalla or Ballygorman, Glentoskert or Gorey, Carnmalin or Carrowmore are deserving of the Townland Champions trophy make sure to get your townland/area represented. Many of our club members are putting their razors away for the month of November, embracing their facial hair in an attempt to raise as much funds as possible for The Irish Cancer Society. Players, coaches, committee members and supporters had their final shave on Oct 31st and will grow a moustache until Friday November 29th, where some local celebrities will do the honours in the clubhouse. Anyone taking part has been issued with a sponsorship card and we would urge everyone to please give generously and support this cause.

MARY HOUTEN MEMORIAL CUP
Well done to the all the Girls who took part in the Mary Houton Memorial Cup, the winning team was the red team, captained by Katie Farren & managed by Lorna Houton. Presentation of the Cup and medals will take place at the underage presentation in December. We would like to extend a warm thank you to both Dereena & Lorna who represented the Houton family in holding the blitz in memory of their late grandmother Mary.
Training continues for the Under 6 age group in the club, gym on Sunday mornings from 10 to 11-15. The sessions are based on GAA Fundamentals; a Croke Park initiative based on research aimed at bettering your child’s coordination (including hand eye) balance, agility and basic fitness in a fun filled environment. It is also an introduction into the basic skills of Gaelic games. All children are welcome to attend.

The Malin GAA club shop will be open in the clubhouse on Saturdays from 12-2 and on Sundays from 11-15 am to 1-30 pm.

The seniors completed their fixtures for this season with a home lose to Burt on Saturday last. After a roller coaster year with many ups and downs the young team can reflect on it over the winter months and come back stronger next season. The reserve team were awarded the points as Burt did not travel, they have two games remaining for the season, both games away to Milford and Burt respectively. Hopefully they will be played out over the next two weeks as the side are still in contention for the league title.

The U-16 team had a great victory last Thursday afternoon over Bundoran in the play off to take them to the divisional final where they meet Four Masters on Monday night in Ardara at 7pm. The senior hurling agm takes place this Friday, 8th November at 8pm in Aras Aoidh Ruaidh.The senior hurlers are hosting the table quiz in Owen Roe’s on Thursday November 14th.The curtain came down on the competitive underage hurling season on Sunday last as the minors suffered a heavy defeat against Dungannon in the Ulster club minor semi-final in Ballinascreen.
Juvenile Hurling AGM takes place in Aras Aoidh Ruaidh at 8pm on Thursday 14th November. The senior ladies league final meeting with Milford will finally take place this Sunday at 12 noon in Milford. The minors finished their season on Sunday morning when they played Naomh Muire, in Killygordon in the B semi-final.
Aodh Ruadh will face Burt in the final of the under 21 B county championship. There was no fixture available at time of mailing, although it is looking like the weekend of November 16th/17th.
Ballyshannon Musical Society together with Aodh Ruadh CLG present a evening of entertainment, the alternative Rose Of Ballyshannon on Saturday 16th November in Dorrian’s Imperial Hotel. A huge well done to the U 16 boys on their incredible win over Kilcar on Monday 4th November, becoming the Under 16B Southern Championship winners. This was a fantastic team display and the boys proved that when they play well as a team they perform amazingly. The score line was Four Masters 8-13, Kilcar 0-06. The club’s Annual Golf Classic was held at the Rosapenna G.C. on Saturday last and despite the atrocious conditions a great days golf was had by all, with Jimmy Carr’s team consisting of Michael and Pat Boyce, Frank Bradley and Jimmy himself coming out on top. Second team were White Hart Pub, Rathmullan while Mc Ginley Motors were a close third. A huge to Frank Casey for the use of his fantastic facilities and golf course, also to all our sponsors and finally to all the teams who took part.
The U-13s had a great win against Killybegs.The senior football play off against Naomh Mhuire is on this Sunday. The club is running a Couch to 5k programme at the clubhouse. The club to G4M&O team were invited by the Wilmot family on behalf of the Asthma Society of Ireland to play in a fundraiser charity match against Convoy’s Mothers and Others team on Saturday the 26th of October where the Convoy team proved better on the day.
