The AGM was held on Saturday last in the RCS school. Also selected on the night were the honorary roles of President Fr Aidan Cannon, Vice Presidents Fred Sweeney, Pat the Cope Gallagher, Enda Bonner, Cathal McCole, Jimmy O’Donnell.
2014 onwards; this plan will have a time scale of 3 years taking the club up to 2017. The idea is that within this 3 year window the club move forward in 4 key areas based on best practice within the GAA. This is where you all come in; we will need input on these 4 key areas from the entire community. In order to get everyone’s opinions & thoughts the club will hold workshops to the following audiences: (1) Senior Board, (2) Minor Board, (3) Ladies & (4) Wider community not associated with the running of the club.
These workshops will last no longer than 1 hour and we will encourage everyone from the community to attend and give there feedback. If you can’t attend then there will be draw in the new fifth series of the 200 Club was held on Sunday night. The club has started to draft a strategic plan to be implemented from online questionnaires where you can give your feedback. The Movember charity fund raiser completed on Saturday night last in Beedy’s Bar with a final shave night for the ever willing Kevin Bonner lower main street by Paddy the singing barber. In total there was approx. 3,200 Euro gathered, which will be distributed between Donegal hospice, Dungloe hospital and the movember charity.
We thank Dave in Beedy’s Bar for providing the karaoke on the night and Paddy the barber for trimming some of the hairy faces. We thank all the Mos who raised money and special mention goes to Mark Clerkin, Dr. Dara McNiff and Daniel Walsh for their substantial collections for these worthwhile charities.
AODH RUADH: The Aodh Ruadh AGM will take place this Sunday 8th December at 3pm in Aras Aoidh Ruaidh. All club members, and indeed anyone with an interest in Gaelic games and culture in Ballyshannon, are warmly invited to attend as we reflect on the year past and plan for 2014.
One motion has been received for consideration at AGM. To establish a family membership - Juvenile hurling committee.

The Bord na nÓg AGM took place on Sunday last with a good attendance present. The following appointments were made. The next collection for Aodh Ruadh’s scrap metal fund raiser takes place on Saturday 7th December from 12 noon to 1pm.

U6 players of the week this week were Harriet McClenaghan and Cormac Reynolds. U8 players of the week were Finn McClenaghan and Darragh McGuinness. Underage training has resumed on Saturday mornings with new times due to pitch development. Gaga for GAA and U6’s will run from 10-11am. There will be no U8 training this weekend due to the ‘Christmas Cup’ on Sunday 8th December. Any new players, parents or coaches are more than welcome to get involved. U10 and U12 training will be this Thursday evening at the new time 7.00-8.30 on the astro turf. All new players are welcome.
The ‘Christmas Cup’ for U8, U10 and U12 players will now take place on Sunday 8th December from 11.00 – 1.30, registration is open from 10:30. This is to avoid a clash with the minor Ulster final.
U8, U10 and U12 girls and boys underage presentation will take place in Clubhouse on Friday 13th December from 7-9pm. Food and disco from7-9pm, €3 per child. Toddlers and U6s presentation will occur after their training session on Saturday 14th December. More details to follow in coming weeks.

NAOMH COLUMBA: The minor board underage presentation night takes place this Saturday night, December 7th, in Meenaneary Community Centre.
We will be kicking off at 7pm, and medals will be presented to our under-8, under-13 and under-14 teams. Our under 10s and under 12s got their medals at the parish league. All underage players are welcome to attend on the night, but please note that presentations will only be made to the teams listed above.
Our minor lads will be presented with their medals at the club dinner dance, and are reminded to get their ticket orders in asap. The dinner dance takes place on Friday week, December 13th, in the Blue Haven Hotel. Tickets are priced at €30 and can be ordered from Bernadette Carr or Noel Ellis. All names are to be in by December 9th please.
Tickets can be paid for on the night, but we need names in advance so as to have numbers for the hotel. Go raibh maith agaibh. SEAN MacCUMHAILL’S: We held out Underage Presentation night in the club on Friday night. Massive crowds turned out to see the children receive their well deserved medals. Our special guest on the night was Cork All Ireland winning player Eoin Cadogan. Special thanks goes to Eoin who made the long journey up on Friday. There are not many players that would make a 12 hour round trip to present medals. Eoin presented over 300 medals and spend ages posing for photos with the children. A true gentleman.
The club is running a Couch to 5k programme at the clubhouse. It’ll run every Tue and Thurs at 7.17pm and lasts approx 45 mins. Its only €2 a session. Please contact Simon on 0851503092 for more details. This is a great way to get fit, lose a few lbs and have fun.

St. Michael’s Minor Board
Duck race to raise funds for the minor board will be taking place Saturday 28 December at the clubhouse at 3pm. Sponsorship Sheets will be issued shortly to each family.
We’ve started a Sunday Morning Skills Academy at the Creeslough Astroturf 6 to 9 year olds from 12 to 1pm 10 to 13 year olds from 1 to 2. €3 per child or €5 per family.
ST NAUL’S: Scór Na Nóg: Unfortunately our Scór teams had no luck at the county finals on Saturday but they done so well to get to the Final. It is great to see such talented musicians and singers within our club and parish. The two teams that competed were Jane Diamond, Mary Ellen Doherty and Sara Arnold in the instrumental music and Keri McHugh, Anna Campbell, Ellen McGroary, Kate Brennan and Daniel Brennan in the Ballad group. Well done to all involved and especially to Ann Marie Sheerin for keeping Scór alive within our club.
St. Stephen’s Day 5km Run/Walk: We are proud to call this an annual event now within the club. It will take place on St. Stephen’s Day with registration at the club house from 11am and the race kicking off at 12pm from the car park. Entry fee is €10 per Adult, €20 per family. If last year is anything to go by not only is it a well run 5k for all levels of fitness but a great family day out as well. Everyone will get there individual times afterwards also. So hope to see you all there to run of the Christmas Dinner!!

Our annual childrens christmas party takes place on Sunday 15th
December - 3 - 6 p.m. All our younger players and their families are most welcome to attend and meet Santa who will be taking time out from his busy schedule to make an early appearance at the club.
