The U-16s were narrowly defeated by Moville at home in a high scoring encounter on Monday evening. The final score was Naomh Colmcille 6-13 7-12 Moville.
The next committee meeting is due to take place on Monday (12th) at 8:00 pm.
Congratulations to David and Breid O’Brien on the birth of their baby girl.
The club would like to extend its sympathies to the McDaid family on their recent bereavement.
The numbers for the Lotto of the 27th July were 1, 8, 18, 13, 24 and the three winners who won €25 each were Sean Cullen, Oliver McDaid and Ann-Marie Moyne. This weeks numbers are 2, 8, 10, 18, 21. Most correct three numbers and the winners are Barr family, Karol and Breda Friel and Niall Creagh who win €25 each.
The weekend Lotto numbers for jackpot of €1,100 were 6, 7, 1, 4, 3, 5, 2, 8. Angela Ward, Eamon Moy, and Geraldine McGinley all matched three numbers and won €20 each. Next week’s jackpot is €1,150.
The club would like to thank all who participated in the 5k walk/ run on the 1st of August. We were able to raise somewhere in the region of €600 for Bord na nÓg.
There was no jackpot winner this week. Ebhlin Kelly, was the €50 winners. Greencastle. The numbers were 4,10,13,24. Next week’s jackpot will be €3,800.
The U-14 boys gaelic, will be having an outdoor activity day in September for any players that played for us this season and for the new players who will be starting with us next season.
Training for Cor Na nOG squad begins this Wednesday 14th August at 1pm in Muff.
All coaches are asked to liase with Mary McDermott regarding training to ensure no double bookings.
The ladies took on Killybegs in the first leg of the county championship in Connolly Park, on Sunday. They lost two points in an eight goal thriller. kilybegs led by seven points at the interval but a superb second half performance from the Malin girls saw them reduce the defecit to just two. Final score was Malin 4-6 to 4 -8 Killybegs.
Malin were led by Grainne Byrne who was captaining the team for the first time. Malin will make the long journey to Killybegs next weekend for the return leg.
The minor footballers defeated Red Hughs in the quarter final play off in the Northern Board championship last Wednesday on a scoreline of 3-12 to 1-6 in Glenswilly.
This earned them a place in the semi final against Glenswilly, which was played in Burt on Friday evening. The two games in three days took its toll as we came out on the wrong end of a 1-9 to 1-5 scoreline.
Well Done to both our U8½ & U10½ teams that travelled to Bellaghy, Co. Derry on Saturday to take part in the Ulster Go Games Invitational Tournament. The U10½ were defeated in their opening two group matches by Lavey and Killcoo. But they came back strongly to beat Greenlough to set up a play off for the quarter finals where they came out on top against Swatragh, after extra time.
In the quarter finals against Arboe, they trailed by ten points at the break, but staged an amazing fight back to lead by one point. However, Ardboe scored a late goal to win.
The U-8½ side made a slow start and lost to Donaghmore before recording a six point victory over Ardboe. They also defeated Lavey by a single point. After a brave display, we were beaten by Moy,in the quarter final stage.
Congratulations to Hughie McDaid, Bunn who was the winner of this weekends weekly jackpot of €750. The sequence draw was 3-4-2-1-7-5-6. The €20 sellers prize went to Ciara Mc Laughlin, Shantla. Mixed fortunes for the reserves, seniors and ladies senior team in the championship this weekend, the reserves were beaten by one point against Ardara in Glenties. The ladies were beaten by neighbours Gweedore in the field also in the championship, while the senior team will play senior championship football again next season having beaten Cloughaneely, in a championship play-off game, in Maghergallon.
The Tuesday Lotto results were CE,KK,GY,MO. There were five matched two winners M Harkin,E Scott Convoy, M and M Browne, B Bonner, Drumkeen, J Gillepie, Killygordan. Nexts week’s jackpot is €1400.
The senior ladies lost to St Eunans , in the championship, on friday night.
The U-14 girls were beaten away to Urris next game on Thursday. The Club are holding a 5k walk-run this Wednesday at 7.30 pm registration at clubhouse from 6 to 7 pm.

The Michael Doherty Memorial under 10 blitz took place last Tuesday with Cill Chartha, Naomh Columba, Naomh Ultan, Ardara and Naomh Connaill taking part. Ardara won A competition and Naomh Conaill won the B competition.
The Broderick Cup was held last Thursday,the winning team managed by Daniel Lyons, was Brian O Donnell, Aaron Mc Shane,Ryan Mc Shane, Eric Byrne, Gavin Moore, Killian O’Malley, Darragh Rowan and Seanie Boyle.
The U-12 team was defeated by Naomh Ultan in the regional final last Wednesday.
Congratulations to Conor Doherty and Neilly Byrne who were part of the Donegal winning Buncranna Cup team.

At the recent church gate collection for under age team development, we collected €288 in St. Marys, Cionn Caslach and €410 in St. Marys Star of the Sea, Anagaire.
The U-14 girls had a good win against Carndonagh last Thursday in the Banks in the championship. This Thursday (15th) they have an away game against Aodh Ruadh, Ballyshannon.

Congratulations to Ethan O’Donnell who was a member of the Donegal U-16 team that won the Buncrana Cup on Saturday beating Tyrone 3-6 to 0-3.
In the U16 league game played on Monday night Naomh Conaill won by the narrowest of margins against Naomh Columba. Next Monday they are home to Aodh Ruadh at 7.30pm.

As part of his Lord Mayor campaign Brian Boyle, is running a GAA Summer Camp in Davy Brennan Memorial Park from Wednesday 21st to Friday 23rd August from 10am to 2pm. The cost is €20 per child with every child receiving a free water bottle. The camp is opened for children aged 6 to 15 years.

The team of the moment in the Glen is surely our minors. The lads have made it through to their first ever Division Two final following a bruising encounter with opponents Malin, in Burt on Friday evening. Right from the off our boys showed a tremendous amount of passion for the jersey and to the delight of the strong Glenswilly support in attendance, fought their way to a 1-10 to 1-6 victory.
They will now go on to play Downings in the Division 2 Northern Board Final. That game is confirmed for Tri-a-Lough, Fanad on Thursday 15th August at 6pm.

The U-16s were in league action on Monday evening, and played host to Naomh Conaill in Páirc na nGael. We were unfortunately defeated by a single point, after a fantastic team effort & a very enjoyable game.
The club will host the Ógsport under 15 finals this Saturday, with the games due to start at 11am at Páirc na nGael. The ladies had a very successful outing on Sunday, in their first championship game, and overcame Letterkenny Gaels in the opening leg. The return leg takes place at Páirc na nGael this Sunday, set for 12 noon. An over 40s fun challenge game, between Naomh Columba and Termon, will take place this Saturday, August 17th, at Páirc na nGael. The Senior hurlers bowed out of the championship after a defeat against Setanta last week. Congratulations to Prionsais O’Lionnain, Jack Brennan, Stephen Doherty and Conor O’Grady who were part of the Donegal Minor Hurling team that defeated Roscommon on Saturday.
The Senior Ladies advanced to the semi-finals of this year’s championship after a good win over St. Mary’s, Convoy last Friday night.
Congratulations to Odhrán McGinley, Ciaran Maloney, Rory Carr, Darragh McWalters and Connor Moore who part of the victorious Buncrana Cup winning team last weekend for Donegal.
The U12 boys capped a memorable season when they defeated Termon, N. Conaill and Killybegs in the county Go Games finals in Ballybofey last Saturday. Next up for this talented team is the U13 league Division Two that begins in less than three weeks.
The U-16 Boys Division 1 team had no game on Monday night v Glenfin and it will be reaffixed for another date. This was due to be their last game so they now have 3 backlog games to play. The div. 2 team played Milford and had a good win; their next game is against Letterkenny Gaels on August 30th.
The Sunday Morning Academy returns this Sunday after a two week break.
The U-16 hurlers had a hard fought win against Burt last week, they play away to Carndonagh this Thursday. The U-12 hurlers defeated Gweedore and Burt in the League and play home to Carndonagh this Thursday.

The U16s were defeated by St Eunans B on Monday night by 5-8 to 2-10. Connor Gormley scored 2-3, Kane Barrett 0-6 and Cormac Toland 0-1. Oisin Doherty and Ryan McMahon impressed on their first outing for the team, while Gavin Grier excelled in the second half, but star man was captain for the night Connor Gormley
The U14 Girls defeated St Michaels on Monday night by 3-14 to 0-6. Na Galloglaigh led 2-4 to 0-4 at half time but pulled away with a good second half performance with Myia and Megan Nyhan, Emma McGettigan, Kellyanne Buchanan and Bronagh Barrett best for the home team.

The seniors lost away to Milford at the weekend. The under 16s had a good win against Bundoran last Monday evening and should now qualify for the divisional semi finals. The semi finals are scheduled for Friday 30th August with the likely opponents to be Four Masters.
The minor’s will play the winners of the Glenswilly / Downings on Tuesday 20th August in the Division Two county semi final.
