Glenswilly are celebrating once again after rounding off a very successful week by adding the Donegal Senior C Championship to the Senior Championship they won last Sunday.
Naomh Conaill 0-6
In the proverbial game of two halves at O’Donnell Park, Glenswilly led by seven points at half-time, 1-4 to 0-0, thanks to a Johnny McGinley goal and points from John McFadden, John B McGeehan and McGinley.
McGinley hit the goal on 12 minutes; the veteran corner forward finished the half with a goal and a point to his name. Naomh Conaill, who posted four first half wides, found the well marshalled Glenswilly defence difficult to breach.
Naomh Conaill did make a brave bid for it in the second half and they cut the margin to two points, but could not get any closer.
Maitis MacCeallbhuí, Jono Boyle, John Boyle, Eoin Boyle (2) posted the second half Naomh Conaill points.
Dermot McGinley scored Glenswilly’s only point of the second half. They ended the game with 14 men after Mickey McDaid picked up a black card followed by red.
