Donegal U-17s have easy win over Derry

Donegal U-17s made it a good night for Donegal in Derry on Tuesday night with an impressive seven point win over Derry, in the Ulster U-17 Development League in Steelstown.

Johnny Sweeney and Michael McGroary scored the goals for Brian McGeehin’s team as they made it two wins from their three games.

Donegal play Antrim this Saturday in their final group game. But with four points from their three games, Antrim pointless from their three outings, and Derry having only two points from three games, Donegal have their place in the semi-final guaranteed going into Saturday’s game.

Thomas McGowan, with 0-8, was Donegal’s top scorer and along with his wingman in the full-forward line Johnny Sweeney, 1-3, contributed hansomely to the win.
