One of the finest natural amenities in the country has been the subject of controversy because of the difficult or indeed, lack of access over the years.

Tullan Strand in Bundoran is regarded as one of the finest beaches in the country and is one of the most popular destinations for a host of activities including walking, surfing, horse - riding and general beach activities.

The access to the beach has always been regarded as “unsafe” but this was excaberated earlier this year when the storms practically destroyed the roadway leading to the beach.

Last week a number of local residents and businesses got together and decided to rectify the situation for themselves and restored access to one of Bundoran’s finest tourist products.
