The prestigious Donegal Creameries\North West Words Poetry Prize was presented to artist and poet, Monica Corish at a special event in Letterkenny’s Cafe Blend on Thursday night.

Monica, from Co. Leitrim, beat off stiff competition to take the 2013 poetry award for her work ‘Back where we started’.

The competition drew entries from all over Ireland. Winifred McNulty from Donegal was among those highly commended.
