The hunt is on for Donegal’s latest millionaire - well for the person who bought a ticket in Sweeney’s Newsagents in Dungloe which is now worth a cool one million euro.

Last night a million euro raffle ticket sold in Dungloe was drawn live on RTE One by TV presenter Brian Ormond as part of the New Year’s Eve The Gathering 2013 broadcast from College Green in Dublin.

Christmas Millionaire Raffle Ticket number 073 765 won the top prize of €1,000,000. The lucky ticket was purchased in Sweeney’s Newsagent in the Supervalu Shopping Centre, Cranmore Road in Dungloe, on Saturday 15 December 2012.

All Christmas Millionaire Raffle ticket holders have ninety days to collect their prizes. The top six prizes above can only be collected in National Lottery offices in Dublin.

Following the live television broadcast, the remaining 2,230 prize winners were drawn for prize amounts ranging from €500 up to €10,000.
