Cllr. Brendan Byrne was called on to apologise yesterday after he admitted that a legal letter was issued in error purporting to be from former county manager, Michael McLoone.
Councillors heard yesterday that a threat of legal action against Cllr. Terence Slowey was issued on behalf of former county manager, Michael McLoone, without the ex-official’s knowledge.
In a day of drama at County House in Lifford, the Fianna Fáil councillor said he would not be taking legal action against Cllr. Slowey over comments he made at a previous council meeting.
