A successful candidate at the Fianna Fáil selection convention in Burtonport brought the party HQ voting rules into question once again last night.

Former Senator and Co. Councillor Enda Bonner who came head to head with Noreen McGarvey in the only contest of the night said afterwards, “I am not happy with all the rules imposed by Party HQ in Dublin. There are over 300 delegates in this room tonight and they should all have been allowed to vote.
“I call a spade a spade and Fianna Fail will not get back to where they were until they start listening to the grass roots.”
