A well-known hairdressing salon based on Letterkenny’s main street is to relocate.

The Patrick Gildea Hairdressing salon based on the corner of the Main Street and Church Lane, is currently in the process of re-locating to a new larger premise at Riverside Park on the Neil T Blaney Road.

A sign on the former shop premises states that they will continue to serve the area from their shop in the Courtyard Shopping Centre, just off the main street.

It also claims they new premises will be the county’s first “Hairdressing centre of excellence”.

The sign states: “We will be relocating to our new, more spacious and luxurious premises. This will be Donegal’s first hairdressing centre of excellence.”

It adds they are opening the new salon on June 18 at Riverside Park, which offers “free customer parking and easy access”.

Mr Gildea was unavailable for comment.
