A farmer in his 70s has died in a farming accident in Inishowen. The man, named locally as Patrick Crumlish, died following an accident involving a tractor and trailer in a field in the townland of Glenagiveny, near Moville. It is understood he was struck by the trailer after he stepped off the tractor to unhitch it. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Garda Press Office said the accident has been handed over to be investigated by the Health and Safety Authority. Local councillor Martin Farren said Mr. Crumlish was a quiet and unassuming person who was well-respected in the community. “I would like to offer my condolences to his wife Peggie and his extended family on his tragic death. Our thoughts and prayers are with him at this very sad time.”
