The Mayor of Ballyshannon has called on people to shop local in the wake of the announcement of the town’s oldest business.

Cllr. John Meehan was speaking after the shock announcement that the well known Gallogley’s Jeweller’s in the centre of the town was closing its doors after 163 years trading.

Gallogley’s has been a household name not only in Ballyshannon for many years but all throughout the North West supplying top quality goods with a personal touch to their many clients.
