A Donegal based family enjoyed one of the most unique experiences when they were guests of Sir Richard Branson on his hideaway island in the Caribbean.
Bundoran’s Canice and Ramona Nicholas along with their young son Alex had the unique opportunity of spending the week on Necker Island which Branson developed as his own personal retreat.
A number of years ago the property was destroyed by fire but was painstakingly restored to it’s former glory.
Ramona Nicholas told the Democrat/DPP, “The opportunity arose through a business connection and while it was primarily a holiday there were discussions around business opportunities in a relaxed fashion.
“It has been the most inspirational few days of our lives - Richard is one of the most genuine, caring and down to earth people I have ever met.
“He took a shine to Alex and taught him how to swim in his own personal pool and as a result Alex is now well able to swim without the buoyancy aids.” See today’s Donegal Democrat. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter www.donegaldemocrat.com
