Letterkenny man Peter Cutliffe has announced his decision to run as a candidate in the forthcoming local elections.
The former chairman of the Labour Party in Donegal will contest the Letterkenny/Milford area as a community candidate.
Announcing his decision on Tuesday afternoon on social media, Mr. Cutliffe said his priorities will be jobs for our young people, the saving of rural post offices and improving facilities at Letterkenny General Hospital.
He will also continue his push for the advertising of polling clerk positions at election time.
“As current vice-chair of Donegal Education & Training Board, member of Friends Letterkenny Hospital and PRO of Donegal Hospice, I believe I am well-positioned to actually make a difference,” he said.
