“Between the known and the unknown”, a bronze hawthorn tree designed by Elizabeth Caffrey and Sean Campbell, is located on a small hill overlooking the N15 at Rathmore, halfway between Ballyshannon and Bundoran.

Earlier this month, no one knows exactly when, a garda spokesperson said yesterday, someone removed most of the branches.

The PSNI have confirmed that officers in Kesh arrested a 21-year-old man from Strabane and charged him with handling goods stolen in the Republic of Ireland, careless driving and theft.
