Celtic star to open Voodoo Gaoth Dobhair

Celtic and Ireland soccer star, Aiden McGeady, will officially launch the newly opened Voodoo Gaoth Dobhair Venue on Saturday August 23.

Although born a stone’s throw from Parkhead, he spent every summer at his grandparent’s house in Gaoth Dobhair. It was this strong connection with Gaoth Dobhair that made management at Voodoo decide to bring the star home to meet the locals and launch Voodoo Gaoth Dobhair.

The 22 year old Celtic winger who won the SPL Player of The Year and Young player of the year awards back in April is delighted to be returning to Gaoth Dobhair for the official opening of Voodoo.

Commented the famous footballer: “It’s always great coming home and I’m really looking forward to seeing all the locals on the night.”

Voodoo Gaoth Dobhair opened its doors to the public on July 3 to an amazing response. The venue has been completely renovated boasting four venues under one roof. Not only is it bringing one of the most promising soccer stars to its doors for the opening but in the coming months you’ll also see some of the worlds biggest DJ’s and live bands entertain at the venue.

McGeady will be venturing into Gaoth Dobhair to meet and greet customers during the night of the opening.

Marketing Manager of Voodoo, Severene Cronin said: “We are very proud of our venue and proud also to have such a prominent soccer star officially open Voodoo Gaoth Dobhair, everyone is welcome along on the night to meet Aiden. After signing a new five year deal with Celtic so he’s obviously very happy at his club. We’ll have to make sure he’s just as happy after his night at the official opening of our club and I’ve no doubt he will be.”

Voodoo’s official opening takes place on Saturday 23rd August, Aiden will be appearing from 10.30 pm.
