The country legend Garth Brooks has added a fourth concert date to his Irish tour in July much to the delight of thousands of disappointed fans.

Tickets for his first three dates in Croke Park sold out within 90 mins.

Speaking from his home this morning on RTE’s John Murray Show the singer said, “ I feel humbled and very grateful. I cannot believe that when I did those concerts 17 years ago some of today’s fans weren’t even born.

“After I heard of all the disappointment I agreed to do this fourth date on Monday - that particular Monday is a very special date for me - it is my daughter’s 18th. birthday. Let’s face it you are only 18 once but Ireland has been so good to me.”

Tickets will go on sale next Thursday, February 6 at 9.00 am.
