Tens of thousands of women and now joined by men,egged on by their friends, shared pictures of themselves without makeup to raise awareness of breast cancer.
By this evening the viral trend had transformed into a fundraising phenomenon, generating over €1 million (with more to come) windfall for the Irish Cancer Society.
