Ballyshannon’s busy schedule of events has been captured in an attractive new events brochure for the town which was launched on Saturday night last in the town.

The eight page full colour brochure produced by Ballyshannon Town Council and promoted by the Backing Ballyshannon Group, lists weekly events from January to December and has been warmly received in the locality.

“This gives people a chance to see at a quick glance just what we have to offer here,” Michael McLoone, chair of the Backing Ballyshannon Group, told those who attended the launch on Saturday night.

The brochure lists events big and small, from the Rory Gallagher Festival which attracts thousands to the town to the local bingo, held every Friday night in the Abbey Centre.

“I didn’t know there was so much on - you just get a surprise when you see it all listed out in front of you,” one local commented to the Democrat having viewed the brochure.

The brochure is also available in pdf form for those who wish to view it online and a very catchy poster headlined: ‘So there’s nothing to do in Ballyshannon? - Think again’, will be erected in a central location in the town for locals and visitors alike to see at a galnce what is on in any given weekk locally.

PDF’s of the brochure are available from Town Clerk, Mary Daly at: mdaly@donegalcoco.ie
