An empty Roses tin never sounded so good

Making some noise, Aengus Morrissey (20) drumming to a different beat today outside the Central Hotel in Donegal town.

This is Aengus Morrissey who comes from “near Manorhamilton” and who decided he would visit Donegal town today to see if he could make a few euro busking on the ‘drums’.

But Aengus isn’t your typical busker.

He has an eclectic assortment of musical instruments with him among them an empty tin of Roses sweets (sounds as good as the sweets) and some old fish boxes. We also spotted a large empty Mayonnaise tub.

“This is my first time to try here (Donegal town) and so far so good. I do this to make a few extra quid, it helped with the Christmas presents,” the 20-year-old said as he gave a virtuoso performance on percussion outside the Central.

Smartly dressed Aengus hitched his way to Donegal town with his assortment of boxes and sweet tins and has to be commended for his enterprise - and his talent.
