Overseas media blitz targeting groups with an audience reach of over 90 million will focus on the charms of the Wild Atlantic Way.

Overseas media blitz targeting groups with an audience reach of over 90 million will focus on the charms of the Wild Atlantic Way.

Over the next few weeks the Wild Atlantic Way will be awash with some of the most influential travel media from across the globe, as they undertake tailored itineraries in an overseas media blitz designed, hosted and managed by Fáilte Ireland, in collaboration with Tourism Ireland. This week will see some of these top media visit Donegal and the North West to enjoy it’s many attractions.

Targeting national and regional print publications, as well as online magazines and blogs, groups from China, Canada, the USA and Europe were invited to enjoy the Wild Atlantic Way and tourism businesses are looking forward to welcoming them over the next number of weeks. The selected media have a combined audience reach of over 90 million, representing a diverse cross section of possible visitors. The Wild Atlantic Way programme will include visits to Donegal, Sligo, Galway, Cork and Kerry areas for the following groups: China Press Trip: North West & Causeway Coast, 14-18th September; International Press Trip: Wild Atlantic Way Northwest Trip, 15-20th September; Canada: WAW South West, 19-25th September
