Anne Rodgers and Patricia O’Donnell have pledged to run three marathons, as well as organise various other events in aid of the Josh McPaul Comfort Fund. Josh is a young local lad with a number of health complications which require a high level of care.

Anne and Patricia, speaking at a fund-raising day in conjunction with the family fun day at the Bank of Ireland Dungloe branch said they are now two thirds through their challenge with the Dublin Marathon yet to come.

“We already have already done the Derry event and then the Donegal marathon last Sunday,” explained Patricia.

They will also host a run, cycle and fun day at Maghery on September 14.
