The two applicants for the north Donegal commercial radio license have been asked to prepare oral presentations for the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland in March.
Highland Radio have operated the license for 23 years. The Donegal Commercial Radio Broadcasting consortium have also applied for the new 10-year license, which comes into operation in September of 2014. The BAI had met to consider the applications on Wednesday.
It is understood that the BAI will seek clarification on elements of both applications through the oral presentations and additional questions to the applicants.
