The weekend storm now known to many as “Storm Brigid” unleashed it’s full force on Bundoran throughout the weekend causing severe damage to the promenade and seafront.
While many parts of the county escaped the worst of the storm Bundoran bore the brunt of it as strong shore protective walls and railings were swept aside . The combination of the exceptionally high tides and storm force winds resulted in the demolition of the access road to Tullan Strand as well as the flooding of the RNLI Station.
