As part of the Gathering of Roses this year, Tralee Town Council will unveil a glass wall of honour inscribed with the names 1700 or so former roses in the Tralee Rose Garden on Thursday August 15th.

This will be the first of its kind in Ireland and will be a permanent feature in Tralee Town Park So far, with the passage of time, we’ve had difficulty making contact with former roses and want to invite them and their families back to Tralee for this special occasion and to a reception hosted by the Council afterwards.

Donegal has had its own Rose Centre since 2005 when Elaine Boyle won the title but prior to this Donegal rose contestants participated in the Ulster rose selection . All will have their names inscribed in the Rose Wall of Honour in Tralee for perpetuity.
