As always, Leghowney Sheep Races, held last Saturday, provided a fantastic fun day out for all the family
There was a great turnout and the good weather added to everyone’s enjoyment of the day.
The races themselves featured a colourful array of cuddly toy ‘jockeys’ and some very competitive sheep acquitting themselves quite well, much to the satisfaction of the punters. Seamus Carbin’s entertaining commentary added extra colour, with his usual wit and sharp observations.
Kiddie competitions, tug-’o’-war, food and craft market, BBQ and craft demonstrations, and a Wacky Wellies competition kept everyone busy and happy between the races.
