A spokesperson for the company said two males boarded the waterbus at 5.58am on Monday last, August 5.

During the incident, a sign was damaged and the alternator to one of the generators was disconnected.

The spokesperson commented: “This attempt to disable or damage the ships electrical system could have led to disastrous consequences as this controls the ship’s electrical, safety and steering systems.”

He called on the two men “We would like them to report to their nearest Garda station immediately to explain their actions and take full responsibility for them.”
