The Glenties pair of Declan and Brian Boyle are 34 seconds clear in the national event of the Donegal International going in to this evening’s final two stages in Buncrana.

In second place are Manus Kelly and Donal Barrett, with Martin McGee and Denis O Mahoney in third.

Last year’s national championship winner, Daniel McKenna, was forced to pull out after three stages, when holding a 13 second advantage.

Meanwhile, Garry Jennings continues to lead the Donegal International Rally after six of today’s eight stages.

Last year’s Donegal Harvest winner holds a twelve second lead over Daragh O’Riordan from Cork, with Tyrone’s Seamus Leonard, who has local man, John McCafferty on the notes, in third, a further 17 seconds back.

Light rain showers has left the surface slippery and tyre choice a problem for the crews.
