A west Donegal man has been sent forward for trial to the Central Criminal Court on 183 sex offences.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was served with a book of evidence before Monday’s sitting of Letterkenny District Court.
Inspector David Kelly said the DPP had consented the man, who is in his 40s, be sent forward to the present Central Court sittings. The charges related to a number of alleged victims and date back to the 1980s.
Judge Paul Kelly gave the accused an alibi warning before returning him for trial. He was released on continuing bail of a personal bond and independent surety of 3,000 euro.
