A lucky punter has scooped just over €5.4m in last night’s Lotto.
The winning ticket, a €12 Quick Pick was bought last Friday at Top Shop, Top Filling Station, Killea.
The winning numbers were 1, 11, 13, 14, 15, 37, 30 and the jackpot was €5,482,894
Mr Sandy Solanki, who is the manager at the Killea Top Shop, told the Donegal Democrat that he’s “still in shock” after finding out this morning that they’d sold the winning ticket.
“The champagne is already on ice and we’re just waiting for the lucky winner to come forward. To tell you the truth, I am still in shock.”
He said the shop sells “loads of” Lotto tickets every week.
“We’ve lots and lots of regular customers who buy their Lotto tickets here all the time, local people, as well as people who come down from the North.”
Last month, there were two Donegal jackpot winners.
One anonymous winner took home €2m after buying a €4 Quick Pick at Donegal Post Office while 77-year-old Kathleen McLaughlin from Redcastle won just over €2.6m.
This brings to 110 the number of Lotto Jackpot/Lotto Plus top prize winning tickets which have been sold in Donegal.
