The funeral will take place tomorrow morning of Mark Bradley, Castleshanaghgan Lower and formerly of Beechwood Road, Letterkenny.

A very well known and popular member of the community, news of Mark’s sudden passing in Letterkenny General Hospital on Monday night has been met with great shock and sadness among those who knew him.

Aged 43, Mark was married to Catherine (Harkin). A structural engineer, Mark was a hard working, capable and very well respected engineer.

A friendly and outgoing person, Mark was the front man and lead singer in the well known local band, Ego Minefield who played all around the North West and beyond back in the late ‘80s, early ‘90s.

He featured in the Tuesday edition of our newspaper this week having captained one of the team’s in a charity football match played in the town on Saturday. The match was organised in memory of his brother-in-law Eamonn Harkin who died in April.

Predeceased last year by his father Liam, Mark is survived by his wife Catherine and children Leanna (8) and Zach (3), his mother Josephine and brothers, Kevin, Paul and Declan, other relatives and many friends to whom sympathy is extended.

His remains are reposing at the Bradley family home at 38 Beechwood Road. Removal from there tomorrow morning (Friday) at 10.15am for Requiem Mass in the Church of the Irish Martyrs at 11am with burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.
