Harvey’s Point ‘Live’ on Ireland AM

Ducks arriving from the lake for ‘breakfast’, a chef singing opera on the shores of Lough Eske and Elvis performing to the backdrop of the Bluestack Mountains are just some of the delights that await TV3 when it brings its cameras to Harvey’s Point Country Hotel Donegal this morning (Thursday).

TV3 are broadcasting its highly popular ‘Ireland AM’ show , with presenters Mark Cagney and Sinead Desmond ‘live’ from Harvey’s Point Hotel and will now also include members of the Donegal Ulster title winners as well as the recently crowned Mary from Dungloe, Debbie Rodgers.

The three-hour programme runs from 7am to 10am and in addition to its regular features, this special edition will focus on the unique attractions of Harvey’s Point Country Hotel and Donegal as a visitor destination.

‘We are delighted to have the opportunity to showcase the Summer activities at Harvey’s Point’, says hotelier Deirdre McGlone. ‘We have created new packages which allow our guests to assemble their own holiday from a menu of activities, which range from fly fishing on Lough Eske to rambling in the Bluestack Mountains.’

The Ireland AM show will also provide tv viewers with an opportunity to enjoy the talents of some of the stars of the ‘Harvey’s Point Summer Cabaret’ which runs until the end of October.

‘Our line-up of artistes this year is the best-ever and the dinner show has been selling out since we opened’, says Deirdre.

One of Ireland’s favourite entertainers, Gene Fitzpatrick is Master of Ceremonies for the star-studded show which features Liam Murphy, holder of the ‘World’s Finest Elvis Impersonator’ title, Donegal fiddler Matt McGranaghan. ‘Singing Chef’ Eugene, Eurovision star Simon Casey and the ‘Tango Fiesta’ dance duo of Kristina Chaloir and Julian Brigatti.

The cabaret evening at Harvey’s Point Country Hotel begins with gourmet food for which the hotel is renowned. Dinner includes soups, a starters buffet, choice of three main courses, dessert buffet followed by tea, coffee and petite fours. The show commences after dinner and is followed by dancing.

Harvey’s Point is offering a range of attractive packages which include the cabaret dinner show, accommodation and breakfast in the hotel’s spacious Executive Suites and in the Courtyard Room.
