Engineers Week coming to Donegal

Engineers Week is coming to Donegal next week. On Wednesday, 16th February there will be an ESB site visit to Cathleen Falls in Ballyshannon.

The event will take place between 10am and 1pm and will be a fantastic opportunity to see engineering behind the hydro-power station. Other events are happening in counties across Ireland during Engineers Week which runs from Monday, February 14th to Sunday, February 20th.

The week-long series of activities across the country and in Donegal is run by Engineers Ireland, the representative voice of the engineering profession in this country, and is focused on creating a positive awareness about engineering in Ireland.

The week runs from February 14th to 20th with a different theme every day. On Wednesday 16th, Open Day will see some of Ireland's largest engineering employers throw open their doors and welcome the public in to learn more about the vital role engineers play in their local community.

Volunteer Day on Thursday, 17th February will be Engineers Ireland's second national volunteer day and is a key day in Engineers Week 2011.

Engineers Week will have events taking place not only in Donegal but across the country. To register your attendance at any of the events taking place during the week log onto www.engineersweek.ie.
