In Donegal South West, the margin was a decisive 72% No to 29% Yes.

With a total electorate of 62,171, there was a total poll of 32,051 (51% turn-out).

There were 299 spoiled votes, leaving a total valid poll of 31,752.

Of these, 8,895 voted for the referendum, while 22,857 voted against.

In Donegal North East, the margin was equally clear: 71.% no to 28.5% Yes.

With a total electorate of 59,721 there was a total poll of 30,723.

There were 253 spoiled votes, leaving a total valid poll of 30,475.

Of these, 8,678 voted Yes, while 21,797 voted No.
