Senator drink driving allegation back in court
An alleged drink driving charge against Donegal senator Brian Ó Domhnaill has been adjourned again.

An alleged drink driving charge against Donegal senator Brian Ó Domhnaill has been adjourned again.

Mr Ó Domhnaill (37) of Killult, Falcarragh, is charged with being in charge of a vehicle while exceeding the alcohol limit, hit and run failure to report an occurrence, hit and run failing to remain at the scene, and hit and run failing to give appropriate information.

The charges relate to an alleged incident at Tullygay, Letterkenny on September 2nd, 2013.

The Fianna Fáil senator did not appear at the brief hearing at Letterkenny District Court on Monday.

His solicitor John Cannon addressed Judge Paul Kelly in Irish and asked him to have the case put back “to see where it stands and to mention it”.

The case was adjourned to February 19th.
