Over 550 lots, being the dispersal (following the successful sale of the property) of the Life-time collection of Albert and Eva Johnson, will be sold by public auction in a marquee erected for the occasion on the back lawn of the property.
Situated on The Diamond, Lifford, the house is a charming riverside Victorian residence arranged over three floors. In the auction will be items from general household up to fine quality antiques, a complete house clearance.
Some items in the auction include a fine George III Longcase Clock of Chippendale Form estimated at €1,500 - €2,500, a Frank Egginton Watercolour €600 - €900, a superb William IV Serpentine Open Rosewood Bookcase with Marble Top €700 - €1,200 and a Step-Cut Baguette Diamond & Platinum Bracelet estimated at €3,000 - €5,000. Also in the auction is an interesting collection of Irish ceramics, including some works by important Irish ceramic artist John French (1928 - 2010), considered by many as Ireland’s pre-eminent figure of the school.
