The Donegal and International Rules captain, Michael Murphy, is joining a growing list of sportsmen who are working to increase the awareness of mental well being.

Following in the footsteps of his former manager Jim McGuinness who devoted his year as Donegal Person of the Year to mental health awareness, Michael will be speaking at a seminar in Donegal Town next week titled, “Minding yourself, Minding your mind”

A growing number of sports stars and celebrities have spoken out on the importance of mental health and getting the message across that it’s perfectly OK not to feel OK. The event will include such topics as stress and anxiety, youth mental health, dementia and schizoprenia with highly qualified speakers.

This important event takes place in the Mill Park Hotel on Wednesday evening from 7.00 to 10 pm with free admission and includes refreshments.
