Two people were taken to hospital following a three-vehicle collision on the N15 on Sunday afternoon, gardaí said.
It is understood that the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
The two people injured were taken to Letterkenny General Hospital.
The collision occurred on the N15, the main road between Donegal town and Ballybofey, near the junction with the Leghowney road.
Gardaí, fire and ambulance services responded to the scene of the collision, which occurred at about 4pm yesterday.
The road was closed for a short period but later reopened, with traffic in the area managed for a time using a stop and go system.
Long tailbacks were reported in the aftermath of the collision.
It was reported that vehicles involved in the collision also caught fire.
