Kilmacrennan recently received Community Involvement Scheme funds and support from Donegal County Council for local works.
“It’s great to see the progress made around the village through the CIS this year,” independent Cllr. Michael McBride said. The local Tidy Towns committee had been dormant but was revived this year with local support, and people involved in the group gave their time to the recent works.
There are about 200 yards of new footpaths, between the chapel and the old school, and at both sides of the entrance to Chapel View; and work on footpaths and fences along the back lane at Rosemount. “The community is delighted with it and it has really enhanced the look of the village,” Cllr. McBride said.
