Irish TV will broadcast the victorious homecoming of the 2014 All Ireland football champions live on Monday night to a global audience.
If Donegal are victorious in Sunday’s All Ireland final in Croke Park, Irish TV will broadcast live from Donegal town from 9-11pm.
The live homecoming show will take a look back at the post-match celebrations and winners’ banquet from Dublin before greeting Sam Maguire as the team coach pulls into town.
The show will feature exclusive live interviews with the winning manager and players, as well as coverage of the speeches by the homecoming team.
Irish TV will have a panel of experts on hand to look back at the key moments from the game and will also chat to members of the victorious county board to get their reaction. The show will be filmed on the street in front of a live audience of jubilant local GAA supporters, adding an element of unpredictability to this must-see broadcast.
“We have followed the progress of both these counties from the very beginning of the year and we wanted to do something special to mark the end of this great championship,” said Irish TV head of programming Malachi Cush. The show will air on irishtv Sky channel 191, Freesat 400, all free-to-air boxes, Eircom’s eVision 191 and online at www.irishtv.ie.
